WHAT IS THE ADMISSION PROCESS LIKE?

The entire admission process is online, simplifying your participation from anywhere. We will evaluate your academic record, your personal skills, and, most importantly, we want to know your motivation.
The main stages of the admission process are as follows:

  1. Presentation of academic documentation and language accreditation.
  2. Admission test (It's not an exam!)
  3. Communication of the resolution of the application and reservation of a place

2. ACADEMIC DOCUMENTATION AND LANGUAGE ACCREDITATION:
PRESENTATION OF ACADEMIC DOCUMENTATION:

The necessary academic documentation will vary depending on the educational system you come from. Below, we explain the two possible cases: if you come from the Spanish educational system or from another country.

CASE 1: IF YOUR ACCESS ROUTE IS THE SPANISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM:
  • If you are studying or have studied high school:
    • With ongoing studies: attach your grades from the 1st and 2nd year of high school, and at the end of the course, once you take the University Entrance Exam, present the results of your EBAU.
    • With completed studies: in addition to presenting your grades from the 1st and 2nd year of high school, you must attach the grade of your university entrance exam.
  • If you have completed a Higher Level Training Cycle:
    • With ongoing studies: attach your grades obtained in the 1st year of the Training Cycle and at the end of the course, present the Official Academic Record and the Title Application Receipt.
    • With completed studies: present your Official Academic Record of the Higher Level Training Cycle and the Title Application Receipt.
  • If you already have a university degree:
    • Attach your Academic Record of the university degree with all credits passed and the Title Application Receipt.
  • If you are a student coming from the University Entrance Exam:
    • You must upload the obtained grade, or if it has not yet been taken, confirmation that you are enrolled.
CASE 2: IF YOU DO NOT COME FROM THE SPANISH EDUCATIONAL SYSTEM
  • For students from the European Union, China, or those who have completed an International Baccalaureate (IB):
    • If you are in your final year and still cannot request the UNED Assis credential (grade for admission to Spanish universities), you must provide a Technical Academic Report, which you should request from the Host Students agency: info@hostudents.com
    • If you are finally admitted to the Degree, you will also have to present the UNED Assis credential (grade for admission to Spanish universities)
  • For students from the rest of the countries:
    • If you are in your last year or have already finished, you must provide a Technical Academic Report, which you can request from the Host Students agency: info@hostudents.com
    • It is necessary to request the Homologation of secondary studies. To achieve this Homologation, the only document you must present is the Conditional Registration Slip. We recommend carrying out these procedures through the Host Students agency: info@hostudents.com
Regarding language accreditation., it is necessary to demonstrate knowledge of English at least at level B1 (Common European Framework). You can accredit this level through official certifications, such as Cambridge, IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC, Oxford Test of English exams, among others. If you do not have an official certification, you will have the option to take a knowledge test through the faculty; that is, Basque Culinary Center. Additionally, if Spanish is not your native language, you must accredit knowledge of this language at the DELE B2 or SIELE B2 level. Similarly, if you do not have an official certification, you will have the option to take a knowledge test through the faculty; that is, Basque Culinary Center.
3. ADMISSION TEST
Once we have received your documentation, we extend a warm invitation to be part of one of our online meetings. In this space, we will share a group dynamic with other candidates, not with the aim of evaluating you, but rather to get to know you in a friendly environment. We want to understand your motivations, appreciate your personal competencies, and discover the path that brought you here. It is worth mentioning that this meeting is not a conventional exam, but rather an opportunity to express your authenticity.
In addition to this process, we propose a test focused on evaluating your motivation and critical thinking. The good news is that you do not need to have prior knowledge! We are more interested in your curiosity, your passions, and your reasons for pursuing this program.
4. COMMUNICATION OF THE RESOLUTION OF THE APPLICATION AND RESERVATION OF A PLACE
Once you have completed the previous steps, we will take the necessary time to carefully evaluate your application. Communication about the resolution of your place will arrive directly to your email. This evaluation process will take place from the end of January to May.
If your application is positively valued, we invite you to secure your place in our community by making a payment of €1,000. This step not only guarantees your place in the University Degree in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts but also marks the beginning of an important educational stage.
