Would you like to develop as a Technologist in a Technological Center specialized in the Gastronomy sector? Would you be interested in specializing in gastronomic research focused on the evaluation of food quality parameters?   

From the Technological Center of the Basque Culinary Center, BCC Innovation, we are looking for a person interested in joining as a Technologist. Your main mission will be to participate in research and innovation projects in the gastronomic field through the evaluation of physicochemical and microbiological parameters of food.   

Our main lines of work are focused on:    

• Quality management according to the UNE 166002 standard (R&D&I management: R&D&I management system requirements).   
• Fine-tuning, optimization and validation of physicochemical and instrumental analytical methods in food.   
• Physicochemical, instrumental and microbiological characterization of ingredients, foods and new formulations.  
• Selection of microorganisms producing metabolites of interest for their incorporation into new food products.  
• Participation in ongoing research and innovation projects.   
• Understanding and applying current research processes, working collaboratively with profiles from different disciplines: culinary arts, nutrition, sustainability, sensory evaluation....  

Do you identify yourself with the following characteristics?   

• You have a degree in Chemistry, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Food Science and Technology, Biotechnology, Pharmacy or similar.   
• You have a high level of communication skills in Spanish, Basque and English. 
• You are a proactive person who feels comfortable working in multidisciplinary environments.  
• You are motivated to learn continuously and keep up to date with the latest trends and technologies in the sector.

How are you eligible for the scholarship?   

• The title of the scholarship is: Gastronomic research: evaluation of food quality parameters through physicochemical and microbiological analysis and innovative food and process developments.   
• You will apply for the call of the IKERTALENT 2024 program - Training grants for pre-doctoral research personnel and technologist personnel in the scientific-technological and business fields of the agricultural, fishing and food sector.

• This is a 2-year training aid program for Technological Staff.
