Basque Culinary Center is looking for a pastry and bakery teacher. We are
looking for professionals with knowledge and experience in their sector, with
a capacity for learning, reflection and identification of future challenges in
their profession, with autonomy and leadership skills.
You will be responsible, in collaboration with other teachers in the area, for
the teaching and tutoring of subjects in basic, intermediate and advanced
patisserie and bakery courses, sweet cuisine and restaurant desserts, as
well as the training tasks linked to these subjects.

The main duties would be comparable to those of a workshop manager
(requiring knowledge of traditional and contemporary patisserie and bakery,
as well as knowledge of the internal management of a catering space in
terms of orders, inventories and costs), with a reflective and formative
approach to the students, as well as the use of basic computer systems,
being essential.

● Higher Degree in Gastronomy or Pastry. Preferably a university degree.
● Professional experience as a pastry chef or pastry chef.
● Experience in bakery and/or pastry making.
● Experience in training (formal or informal).
● Theoretical and practical knowledge of traditional pastry making, avant-
garde pastry making, restaurant desserts, cocoa and chocolate, pastries,
bakery and basic ice-cream making.
● Knowledge of the main raw materials used in the world of confectionery.
● Languages: English and Basque will be an asset.
