You will join the GOe Tech Center team, where your main mission will be to contribute to the development of research and innovation projects in the field of health and food biotechnology, while also helping to strengthen relationships within the food ecosystem at both national and international levels. 

What will you be doing? 

• Developing research and innovation projects in the field of health and food biotechnology.
• Designing and applying omics technologies, data analysis methodologies, functional nutrition strategies, fermentation processes, and bioprocesses. 
• Creating new functional ingredients, with a special focus on postbiotics. 
• Interpreting multi-omics data, designing experiments, and developing predictive models. 
• Coordinating scientific support for demonstrators and managing technology transfer with companies interested in functional products. 
• Preparing scientific publications and participating in national and international conferences. 
• Preparing proposals for new projects, as well as technical and scientific reports. 
• Disseminating project results in scientific, technological, and industrial environments. 
• Collaborating with chefs in the development of healthy and innovative food solutions. 

Who are we looking for? 

• PhD in Science, Biotechnology, Bioinformatics, Computational Biology, Genetics, Molecular Biology, or a related field, integrating biology, food science, food biotechnology, computer science, and statistics. 
• At least 5 years of experience in research and/or innovation projects related to the position. 
• Experience with several of the following technologies: NGS or similar techniques, library preparation, analysis and interpretation of metagenomic and/or metabolomic data. Additional training may be completed during professional development at the Center. 
• Knowledge of bioinformatics data analysis, statistical methods, predictive modeling, and database management. 
• High level of English. 

What would make you stand out? 

• Previous experience in projects related to food or gastronomy. 
• Strong skills in scientific writing and science communication. 
• Intermediate to high level of Basque (B2–C1).
