Culinary Manager

Are you passionate about cooking and want to be part of an innovative ecosystem in gastronomic education? Are you motivated by designing transformative learning experiences with other professionals? Then this project is for you! 

At Basque Culinary Center, we continue to grow our team and are looking for someone with a pedagogical vision, management skills, and a passion for cooking to join the Lifelong Learning department as Culinary Manager. 

Your main mission will be to coordinate the planning, execution, and follow-up of short courses and customized training aimed at culinary and pastry professionals.

You will be part of the department's operational team, playing a key role in managing the human, material, and logistical resources required to ensure the success of the training offer. You will work closely with the Kitchen Area Coordinator for Lifelong Learning, actively contributing to the department’s operations. 

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include: 

  • Coordinating the planning, design, and delivery of short and custom courses for culinary and pastry professionals, from creating technical files to final implementation. 
  • Organizing teaching and collaboration teams, assigning tasks, aligning content, methodologies and resources, ensuring a high-quality learning experience. 
  • Contributing to the definition of the annual training offer and designing tailor-made proposals, working with industry experts and proposing new teaching profiles. 
  • Supervising logistics for each course: orders, space setup, production, cleaning, technical support, and coordinating specific speaker needs (accommodation, transport, materials).
  • Occasionally delivering classes in professional trainings, in-company programs, cooking clubs, or thematic courses, and supporting other activities within the department when necessary. 

Requirements

Do you identify with the following? 

  • You have at least 3 years of experience in kitchen/operations coordination or as Executive Chef in gastronomic reference restaurants. 
  • You hold a Higher Degree in Kitchen Management or other related culinary/educational qualifications. 
  • You have experience supporting teaching activities, either in academic settings or continuous training programs. 
  • You stand out for your communication, planning, and organizational skills, and for your ability to work independently. 
  • You enjoy collaborative work and being part of a team. 
  • You have at least a B2 level in both English and Basque. 

You’ll stand out even more if... 

  • You have a Master's Degree in Teacher Training. 
  • You're familiar with learning management tools like Moodle. 
  • You love working in multidisciplinary, continuously improving environments. 
  • You're passionate about education and the world of gastronomy and hospitality.
