Cooking Area Coordinator Teacher

If you are passionate about cooking, have a long career in the area of Kitchen Management in reference restaurants and teaching vocation, we invite you to be part of this exciting project!   

The main objective of the position will be to coordinate and lead the development of the training activity, leading the operations and strategy of the culinary area of continuous training of the Faculty of Gastronomy, ensuring a training of excellence aligned with the institutional vision.  

This involves the design and updating of the training offer, the management of the teaching and technical team, the efficient planning of resources, the supervision of the student's experience, and the liaison with national and international gastronomic sector referents.   

The main lines of work are focused on:   

  • Designing and updating the area's training offer, reviewing educational programs and supervising their correct implementation to ensure pedagogical quality.  
  • Coordinating and energizing the teaching team and collaborating experts, promoting a coherent and aligned performance with the training objectives.  
  • Ensure the efficient allocation of technical and material resources, guarantee compliance with health and safety regulations, and collaborate with administrative areas.  
  • Provide practical training, act as a professional reference for students and promote motivational, active and experiential learning.  
  • Represent the area in internal committees and external events, and strengthen links with chefs, experts and professionals in the gastronomic sector. 

Requirements

Do you identify yourself with the following characteristics?  

  • You have a Higher Degree in Kitchen Management, or other qualifications related to the culinary and teaching fields.   
  • You have worked for a minimum of 10 years in kitchen management/Executive chef positions in gastronomic reference restaurants.   
  • You have experience in teaching, either in the academic field or in the delivery of workshops, conferences, etc.   
  • You have a deep knowledge of traditional cuisine, modern cuisine, as well as being up to date in gastronomic trends.   
  • You are comfortable speaking fluent English (C1).  
  • Passion for teaching, communication skills and collaborative attitude.   

You will make a difference if...
