Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation

At Basque Culinary Center, a globally recognized academic institution in the fields of gastronomy and innovation, we are seeking a passionate and qualified individual to join our team. We are looking to appoint a Professor of Entrepreneurship and Business Innovation within our Faculty of Gastronomic Sciences.This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the advancement of the gastronomic sector through teaching, research, and innovation. 

Your main mission will be to participate in the training and development of projects in the area of Business and Restaurant Management. In addition, you will contribute to research, consulting and knowledge generation initiatives in a dynamic and constantly evolving environment. 

Our main lines of work are focused on:  

  • Collaborating in the co-design of training and mentoring activities for undergraduate and master's degree students, as well as professionals in the sector.  
  • Providing training under a practical and experiential approach (“learning by doing”), promoting a participatory methodology and an active role as a teacher and coach.  
  • Collaborate in research, consulting and advisory projects in the field of gastronomic business management and innovation.  

Requirements

Do you identify yourself with the following characteristics?   

  • You have a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Economics and/or similar fields.  
  • You have a Master's Degree in Restaurant Management, Business or similar fields.  
  • You bring at least 5 years of experience managing restaurant and gastronomy projects from a business, research and/or consulting point of view.    
  • You are fluent in Spanish and English at a professional level (C1).   
  • You are a proactive, autonomous and team player in an innovative environment.     

You will make a difference if:  

  • You have a PhD in topics related to business, entrepreneurship, innovation and/or management.  
  • You have worked in international environments in business creation and management and/or consulting.   
  • You have previous teaching experience.   
  • You have promoted the use of new technologies and digital tools applied to restaurant and gastronomic business management.  
  • You have developed university research, participating in scientific projects in the area of restaurant business and management.  
  • You have a high level of Basque (C1).
