Description

At the Basque Culinary Center, we need to recruit a Purchasing, procurement and logistics manager for raw materials and kitchenware for the buildings that make up the BCC. The main objective is to lead and coordinate the supply chain of purchasing, reception, storage and distribution of raw materials necessary for all the activities that take place in the different buildings of BCC.

As a manager, you will be responsible for managing the people in your department and internal customer service, financial results, management of logistics spaces and the development of the activity in its entirety.

Your main mission will be to ensure the smooth running of the department and the following functions:

  • You will define the selection criteria and processes: as a manager, you will identify the needs of the department and implement the criteria and new employment opportunities in order to ensure the optimal functioning of the department.
  • You will be responsible for managing the team in the logistics department, maintaining a pleasant working environment and ensuring that objectives are met.
  • You will be responsible for the approval of suppliers to determine that they are suitable to perform the service to be covered, or that the product meets the requirements of the organisation, through a comprehensive analysis.
  • You will define the purchasing and procurement process in an optimal way, taking into account the multi-location of our centres.
  • You will plan and execute the purchasing processes from suppliers, as well as the supervision and correct reception, storage and distribution of raw materials and kitchenware.
  • You will update the database, ensuring the correct functioning of the purchasing software.
  • You will generate and analyse the monthly closings of expenses and raw materials for each area.

Requirements

You will make a difference if...

  • You have consolidated experience as a manager in the functions described in the food and beverage or kitchen departments of restaurants, hotels or food chains, and customer service.
  • You have a university degree related to management and workflows (ADE, Engineering in organisation...).
  • You define yourself as a person with a high orientation towards continuous improvement and the achievement of objectives, as this is how we do our work at BCC.
  • You have office automation skills; Office 365, Google systems, Project, as well as you are used to work with ERP.
  • You are able to interact in English and Basque (B2).
