Foro Gastronómico Internacional Alimentarte

Located in San Sebastian (Basque Country), the Basque Culinary Center, a pioneering academic institution at an international level, whose goals include higher education, research, innovation and the promotion of gastronomy and food, together with the Fundación Corazón Verde, presents the International Gastronomic Forum Alimentarte (“Feed yourself”), an innovative culinary meeting created in 2014 that has become a benchmark in Latin America.

Joxe Mari Aizega, Director of the Basque Culinary Center: “Colombia has been and is a fundamental part of our development. Over the years we have received Colombian students who have studied our degree and master’s degree courses, etc., and various chefs from Colombia have also come to share their know-how and experience.

As a result, we started an alliance with the Fundación Corazón Verde some years ago in order to organise this International Gastronomic Forum.” This year, the Alimentarte forum will take place on 22 and 23 May in the Hall 74 auditorium (Calle 74, 14-25) in
Bogotá (Colombia). The meeting, with free registration, will bring together around 700 top-flight professionals, entities and institutions of various kinds, journalists and experts. The Alimentarte forum will be held over two days and has been designed with the aim of promoting exchange and learning about the best local and international cuisine.
Outstanding international speakers include: Virgilio Martínez from Central in Peru, Rodolfo Guzmán from Boragó in Chile, Rafael Costa e Silva from Lasai in Brazil, Michael Mina from the Mina Group in the United States, Edgar Nuñez from Sud 777 of Mexico; Josean Alija, Nerua, Spain; Francis Paniego, El Portal del Echaurren, Spain; Germán Martitegui, Tegui, Argentina; Marcos Morán, Casa Morán, Spain; José del Castillo, from Isolina in Peru;
and Tomás Kalika, from Mishiguene in Argentina.

The Colombian contingent in the Forum will include Harry Sasson, Leonor Espinosa, Alejandro Cuellar from Canasto, Antonuela Ariza and Eduardo Martínez from Mini-mal, Alejandro Gutiérrez from Salvo Patria, Alvaro Clavijo from El Chato, and Silvana and Mariana Villegas from Masa.
