At Basque Culinary Center, we work to drive social and economic development through gastronomy. Through our 360° Ecosystem, within the Gastronomy Open Ecosystem (GOe), we lead innovation and research projects while connecting with a diverse network of global stakeholders.

Within the GOE Tech Center, your main mission will be to drive the development of research in its various areas of expertise, such as culinary innovation, sustainability and gastronomy, health and gastronomy, sensory analysis and digital innovation.  

Our main lines of work are focused on:   

  • Designing, together with the coordinators of the knowledge areas, the research strategy of the Technology Center, prioritizing the research areas, establishing alliances with local, state and international organizations, and defining the necessary resources for its implementation.  
  • Maintain, together with the Management of the Center, a continuous relationship with the different administrations, in order to identify business opportunities.  
  • Lead the strategy of identification, protection, valuation and exploitation of the intangible assets of the CCTT.  
  • Collaborate with the project managers in the drafting of proposals for research projects, supervise the results of these and contribute significantly in the cross-cutting tasks related to project management.  
  • Maintain constant dialogue with other divisions of the GOE ecosystem, with the aim of strengthening the strength of the research conducted at the CCTT. 

Requirements

Do you identify yourself with the following characteristics?   

  • You have a PhD in the field of food or related areas.  
  •  You have at least 8 years of experience performing related functions in a Technology Center and/or R&D&I business unit.  
  • You are familiar with the funding map of projects in the food sector (at European, national and local level).  
  • You bring experience in knowledge transfer to the market through patents and/or creation of startups.   

You will make a difference if:  

  • You have worked in multidisciplinary and multicultural environments.  
  • You have led research teams in one of the areas in which the Technology Center works. 
  • You are a dynamic and proactive person, capable of taking on different projects/activities simultaneously.  
  • You consider yourself an empathetic and assertive person, used to foster teamwork.
