Twelve Chefs will be putting on seven ‘Culinary Zinema’ dinners, the section of the San Sebastián Film Festival that brings together cinema and gastro

30 August 2018

The eighth edition of ‘Culinary Zinema’, the section of the San Sebastián Film Festival that brings together cinema and gastronomy and which this year will be held between 22 and 28 September, will be made up of seven productions that tell stories with a close bond with the cuisine of countries such as Argentina, Canada, France, Japan, Singapore, South Korea and Spain, through seven dinners that will be offered by twelve national and international chefs, inspired by the stories they tell.

The official ‘Culinary Zinema’ section has been jointly organised between the San Sebastián International Film Festival and the Basque Culinary Center with the collaboration of the Berlin Film Festival. The dinners, connected to the stories of the films, will feature family-run restaurants, the fusion of art and gastronomy and olive oil culture and will tell stories about gender perspectives in cookery, the search for our roots or about entrepreneurship.

The joint tickets for attending the screening and the dinner will be available from Monday 3 September on the festival website or through Kutxabank and will cost €70. Tickets just for the films will be available from 16 September and will cost €7.90.
