All the students of the Gastronomy and Culinary Arts Degree at the Basque Culinary Center, a total of 389 students, are gaining work experience this summer at restaurants or businesses in 26 different countries.
Out of these students are carrying out their work experience in different Spanish regions and the remaining 82 have travelled to countries such as Argentina, Norway, South Korea, Taiwan, Chile, United States, etc. All the degree students from this faculty, integrated within Mondragon Unibertsitatea, from years one to four, carry out work experience at a restaurant or business, as a result of the Basque Culinary Center's education model.
This education model means contrasting what they have learned and the skills acquired during the training period with the real world, an experience they can later use to boost their professional career in the gastronomy sector.
