The Basque Culinary Center opens the doors to the exhibition “50 glimpses: a creative journey through contemporary gastronomy”, which tells the story of gastronomy over the last 40 years, focusing on 50 milestones, processes and/or concepts around which our idea of cooking has been constructed. The exhibition can be visited from 20 June to 13 July, and the works will be displayed in the premises of the Basque Culinary Center.
Following a timeline that begins with the emergence of the New Basque Cuisine, the exhibition is structured around a unique display of 50 pieces representing 50 aspects of gastronomy, divided into 5 different focuses: culinary, science, economics, activism and communication.
The exhibition thus presents a novel and stimulating story which highlights the creativity, interdisciplinarity and scope of a phenomenon as cross-cutting and important as gastronomy.
It is an exhibition that will be open to the general public and can be enjoyed through guided tours which are free of charge but must be booked in advance. The guided tours will take place at 10 am, 12 pm and 5 pm and can be booked through the exhibition website 50miradas.com/en
