Facultad de Ciencias Gastronómicas
The Basque Culinary Centre or Universidad de Ciencias Gastronomicas opened its doors in 2011 in Donostia/San Sebastian.
This academic centre, the second gastronomy university in Europe, provides higher education in Gastronomy and Culinary Arts to young students, aiming to deliver a superior level of knowledge and to produce qualified professionals.
It also offers specialised training in different areas for professionals from the world of gastronomy who wish to either improve their knowledge in a specific area or to learn a new specialism in order to further develop their culinary skills.
In addition, the Basque Culinary Centre organises courses for cookery enthusiasts, both in Spanish and Basque for home students, as well as in English for foreign visitors. The only requirement to take part in these courses is to be passionate about cooking and want to learn!
